When did you become  members of Lilac?
Early 2010

What size property will you be living in?
3-bedroom house

Why do you want to live in Lilac?
We love our little terraced house and yard in Armley and will miss our lovely neighbourhood but think that it's time that we all wake up to the fact that we can't just carry on living the way we are - if we care at all about the people round the world already affected by climate change or for our own kids' futures, we have to make real changes to our lifestyles.  LILAC is a way for us as a family to make a change and live more sustainably, and hopefully to show to others that a sustainable lifestyle can also be attractive, fun and affordable.

What  do you think the best thing about living in Lilac will be?
The neighbours!  More space for the girls to run around without us worrying about cars. Not having to cook every night when we get home from work.  Parties.  The big windowsills.  South-facing sunny houses.  Designing and working on the grounds together.  Being pioneers.

There are 20 households in Lilac. Eleven brave households are profiled below.
