LILAC and Transition Meanwood present:
Crafting and Grafting
SUNDAY 12 FEBRUARY, 2-4pm at
Meanwood Institute, Green Road, LS 4LE
Come along to learn how to magically create apple trees to the size and
variety you want. We will also be grafting plum and pear rootstocks. In
the workshop we will learn how easy grafting can be and have a go at
creating your own fruit trees.
Please bring £2.50 to cover the cost of each rootstock you will want to
graft on and something small & sweet to share. And if you can bring some
"scion" material - this is fresh prunings of the vigorous growth from last

Also please bring your knitting,sewing, crochet, beading, painting, weaving and
any other crafts for a relaxed afternoon of crafting and chat. We will
be running some craft activities if you don't have your own project to bring, so please bring a
small donation for materials. Activities are suitable for adults and children aged 5+

Inductions for prospective members
We run inductions by request on a monthly basis. They usually take around three hours and can be carried out wherever is convenient for you. The purpose of inductions is to give prospective residents all the legal, financial and other info that you would need to be able to make an informed decision about joining the project. We usually ask that you have attended a few socials to find out more about Lilac in an informal way before you request an induction.
